Coming from the small town of Quincy, IL, Genevieve Niemann has set her bar high. At an early age, she realized her strong argumentation and persuasion skills complemented her interest in helping clients as an attorney. Her extensive legal background originated from her father, a well-established attorney practicing in Central Illinois. With her father as her biggest role model, his profession became her life passion.
Since then Genevieve has excelled in many ways in the field of law. While receiving her Juris Doctor degree from DePaul, she gained an exceptionally diverse background in law. She has clerked for several judges in the Circuit Courts of Cook County where she learned the courtroom inside and out. She spent a summer in the Felony Trial Division of the Cook County Public Defender’s Office while aiding the established Professor John F. Decker with research for his book, Illinois Criminal Law, throughout law school. Through a legal clinic at DePaul, Genevieve has already represented several clients of her own in the Cook County Domestic Relations Division and Domestic Violence Courthouse. Genevieve was made for the courtroom. Her biggest asset now is having clerked for Patton & Ryan LLC for a year prior to coming on board as an associate attorney. Her clerkship familiarized her with all aspects of the trial team departments and enabled her to hit the ground running in strategizing for the firm’s vast multimillion personal injury lawsuits.
Genevieve continues to develop her leadership skills through networking in the Chicago legal community. She is extremely involved with her law fraternity, Phi Alpha Delta, Internal and is now pursuing leadership roles in the Illinois Women’s Bar, Chicago Bar and Illinois State Bar Associations.
