Joe Moore is an associate at Patton & Ryan. His primary practice areas include construction litigation, premises liability, medical malpractice and commercial litigation. He has experience litigating, arbitrating, mediating and preparing cases for trial across the country.
Joe was raised in Northwest Indiana and followed the engineering footsteps of both his father and grandfather. After working in healthcare consulting, he attended law school and volunteered at both the Chicago Legal Clinic and the Chicago-Kent Patent Clinic. His background in industrial engineering and economics makes him well suited to digest complex legal issues involving science, technology, and economic damages. His ability to analyze complicated problems and clearly communicate those issues is a valuable asset to clients, fellow attorneys, judges and ultimately juries. Joe has worked on several trial teams consulting with witnesses, experts, and clients to prepare for testimony and cross-examination at trial.
Joe attended Northwestern University in Evanston, IL as an Inland Steel Merit Scholar. While studying engineering and economics, he served as an officer of the Gamma Beta chapter of Sigma Nu Fraternity and was a founding member of the popular Northwestern acapella group “The Freshman 15.” He went on to receive his Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law where he competed in the Giles-Rich Intellectual Property Moot Court Competition. He was also elected to the Student Bar Association and served at the law school’s social chair.
