A native of Chicago, Charlie left Chicago to play collegiate football at Southern Illinois University – Carbondale. After hanging up his cleats for the last time, Charlie returned to Chicago to attend DePaul University (graduating Magna Cum Laude), while simultaneously tutoring and mentoring children at the Hephzibah Children’s Association in Oak Park, and working full-time in the evenings.
After graduation, Charlie began law school at Chicago-Kent College of Law, where he regularly made the Dean’s List and excelled in Trial Advocacy, honing his trial strategy and oral advocacy skills. During law school, Charlie began working on the Plaintiff’s side by representing victims of medical malpractice, wrongful death, catastrophic injuries, and sexual assaults of minors. He then came to Patton & Ryan as a law clerk where he was able to further develop his litigation skills. Since passing the Bar, Charlie has continued to work at Patton and Ryan, using the strategy and work ethic he began to hone as far back as collegiate football to strategize, advocate, and rigorously defend his clients.
