Christina V. Chen

Christina first came to the Midwest to begin her legal education at the University of Illinois on scholarship. Although she was born and raised in California, she gladly traded in the Golden State for the Prairie State in pursuit of her dream career.

During her time at the University of Illinois, she developed her skills as a student-attorney and received a provisional 711-license in order to represent clients in the Family Advocacy Clinic and as a Federal Appellate Defender. In her last semester, she clerked for the Honorable Judge Randall Rosenbaum in the Champaign County Circuit Court. She later joined the chambers of Honorable Justice Cynthia Cobbs at the Illinois Appellate Court, First District, after graduation. She served as a judicial clerk for two years before making the decision to return to her favorite aspect of law, advocacy.

Now as an Associate at Patton & Ryan, Christina aims to be a zealous advocate, reaching the the best possible outcome for her clients whether that requires litigating a case or relying on alternative dispute resolution tracks.
