Jessica Firlej


Jessica Firlej joined Patton & Ryan as an associate attorney in 2021. Focusing her practice in civil litigation, Jessica has extensive experience in legal research, motion drafting, discovery and trial preparation. Prior to joining Patton & Ryan, Jessica was as an associate at a personal injury firm in Chicago where she practiced medical malpractice litigation.

Jessica earned her J.D., with a certificate in Public Interest Law, from DePaul University College of Law. While in law school, Jessica obtained her Illinois Supreme Court 711 License, worked in DePaul’s Misdemeanor Clinic and was heavily involved in the Public Interest Law Association and Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity. She received the Vincentian Summer Fellowship, the Benjamin Hooks Distinguished Public Service Award, was on the Dean’s List, and was awarded the CALI of Excellence for the Future Award for achieving the highest grade in both her Civil Litigation Legal Drafting and Trial Advocacy II courses. Jessica is a first generation Polish-American and is fluent in Polish.
