Katie joins Patton & Ryan after working for one boutique and one mid-size law firm, both  highly-regarded in Chicago, handling a diverse civil litigation caseload, with a focus on insurance defense, including insurance coverage disputes, personal injury, premises liability, construction claims, subrogation recovery, and worker’s compensation, among more.

During her time in law school, she completed an externship with the Jackson County Public Defender’s Office for three semesters, where she was able to gain courtroom and deposition experience with a 711-student license.  While at the PD’s office, she was able to run arraignments, conduct client meetings, and negotiate plea deals, among more.    Katie has also spent time abroad in both Ireland and South Africa, where she was able to meet with and learn from attorneys from other parts of the world and become fully immersed in other cultures, laws, and their practice of law.

Katie has found her niche in civil litigation and now has expanded her practice to a plethora of insurance defense type of matters including medical malpractice, negligent construction/design claims, all types of transportation matters, and more.
