Kelly L. Ferron

Kelly is a skilled civil litigator, with considerable practice experience in both state and federal courts throughout the United States. Kelly was granted Certified Legal Intern status by the Florida Supreme Court while still in law school and secured a position with the Miami-Dade Public Defender’s Office in Miami, Florida. While working for the Public Defender’s office, Kelly accrued significant courtroom and deposition experience representing juveniles and adults charged with various crimes from misdemeanors to serious felonies. Although Kelly thereafter made the decision to transition into civil litigation defense, she found that her time at the Miami-Dade Public Defender’s Office greatly prepared her for her future in the civil arena.

After her admission to the Florida bar, Kelly began practicing civil litigation defense. During this time, she focused on an array of complex matters including catastrophic injury, wrongful death and transportation matters along with products liability cases and general civil litigation defense in Miami, Florida.

By 2014, Kelly was ready to return to the Midwest, and relocated to Chicago. She waived into the Illinois bar and joined Patton & Ryan shortly thereafter. Now licensed in Florida, Illinois, Michigan and Wisconsin along with multiple federal courts, Kelly now focuses her practice on the defense of catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases, product liability matters, as well as construction, trucking, transportation and general civil litigation defense.
