Kelsey A. Zubkoff

Kelsey began her legal academic journey at Indiana University, where she was heavily involved in student leadership and served on the Deans Student Advisory Board and the Student Bar Association. She was a 1L Summer Associate at a Chicago-based law firm and transferred to Chicago-Kent College of Law. Kelsey graduated early and earned her J.D. from Chicago-Kent with honors. While at Kent, she was awarded the Best Advocate and given the CALI Award of Excellence for her performance in Intensive Trial Advocacy. Further, Kelsey was selected to become a member of Chicago-Kent’s nationally ranked trial advocacy team where she developed her courtroom skills and competed as the team captain in the ABA Labor & Employment law competitions. Prior to law school, she graduated from her hometown’s Arizona State University with a B.A. in English (Literature).

During law school, Kelsey gained experience as a law clerk for almost two years at a firm specializing in civil defense litigation. Kelsey’s experience includes cases involving commercial litigation, legal malpractice, breach of contract, labor and employment law, trust and estates, patent infringement and trade secret misappropriation. Before joining Patton & Ryan, Kelsey worked as an Associate at a local civil defense firm where she focused on complex commercial litigation.

Now as an Associate at Patton & Ryan, Kelsey is excited to hone and perfect her zealous advocacy skills as a trial attorney. Outside of the office, Kelsey helped coach Chicago Kent’s Trial team for the ABA Labor & Employment competition.
