Michael Hallock


Mike Hallock is an accomplished attorney with deep expertise in litigation. Prior to joining Patton & Ryan, LLC., Mike served as an Assistant United States Attorney, and a General Counsel’s Office attorney for The U.S. Department of Transportation. During his time in the General Counsel’s Office, Mike worked hand in hand with Global 100 corporations such as Toyota and Google, advised senior administration officials, and co-authored Aviation Regulation in the United States. As a federal prosecutor, Mike succeeded in several high-profile trials including United States of America v. RayMorris Ascensio. Mike has prevailed in the Fifth Circuit United States Court of Appeals and The Seventh Circuit United States Court of Appeals on briefing and oral arguments more than a dozen times.

Mike is honored to be the recipient of the Deans Award, the Distinguished Public Service Award, the Capitol Pro Bono Honor Roll Award, the Secretary’s Award, and the General Counsel’s Award. Mike is licensed in Illinois and Washington, DC, and is active in the Special Olympics Chicago. In his free time, he enjoys fishing and traveling and has visited all 50 states and 34 countries.
