Born and raised on the south side of Chicago, Sofia attended Saint Xavier University for her undergraduate degree and DePaul University College of Law for her juris doctorate. While at DePaul, Sofia served as the president and of the Student Hellenic Bar Association, the Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of Women, Gender, and Law, and a student mentor for both law students and undergraduate students. During her time as an undergraduate student at Saint Xavier, Sofia served as a first-chair attorney for the Mock Trial team and as the president of the Pre-Law Society.
As a law student, Sofia worked for a probate and estate planning firm for two years, where she learned how to prepare pleadings and motions, research complex issues, and develop a passion for litigation. She has been published in the Chicago Bar Journal and in the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys Newsletter. Before joining the team as an associate attorney, Sofia began her career at Patton & Ryan as a law clerk. At Patton & Ryan, Sofia handles the research and preparation of motions and pleadings, conducts research of various topics within tort and liability law, and reviews complex discovery documents. As a proud first-generation Greek American lawyer, Sofia aspires to deliver successful outcomes to her clients and excel as a litigator in the defense field.
