Nicholas E. Richardson

Nick was raised in Jacksonville, FL before moving to Tampa, FL in order to obtain his Bachelor of Arts in Criminology. While at USF and following graduation, Nick worked for the Hillsborough County Public Defender’s Office in the discovery department. In December 2012, Nick decided to move to Chicago and attend The John Marshall Law School. During law school, Nick interned for the Honorable Judge Jeffery Lawrence in Cook County Circuit Court’s Law Division and clerked for a local union benefits law firm. Nick also competed in the Robert F. Wagner Moot Court Competition held in New York City.

Upon graduation and obtaining his license to practice, Nick worked for a local union representing employees and the union in grievances and contract negotiations. Prior to joining Patton & Ryan, Nick worked as an associate attorney representing clients in medical malpractice, corporate defense, professional liability, and employment related matters.

Hobbies

In his free time, Nick enjoys sports especially football and the Jacksonville Jaguars. Nick is also currently serving as an officer of Chicago Homebrew Alchemist of Suds and is an avid homebrewer.
